Independence Hall Tea Party Association

The Independence Hall Tea Party Association is a regional, tri-state (DE, NJ, PA), non-partisan, non-profit grassroots organization formed after the Historic 2009 Tax Week Tea Parties.

The Association is governed by a Board of Directors representing 16 counties in the Delaware Valley Region.

Mission Statement

We, as members of the Independence Hall Tea Party Association, strive to educate the general public regarding the principles of limited government, as enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution.

By keeping a vigilant watch over the role of the Federal Government, we seek to protect the rights and liberties of all individuals and institutions, including state and local governments.

In advocating free markets and fair trade, we hope to emulate the spirit of our Founders who met at the original Independence Hall Tea Party on December 27, 1773.

History

The Association has sponsored many successful programs, including: The April 18th Philadelphia Tea Party II; the July 4th Independence Hall Tea Party III; the August Specter/Sibelius Town Hall Rally; 14 buses to the 9/12 March on Washington; a first ever Christmas commemoration of the original December 27, 1773 Philadelphia Tea Party, and an array of rallies at various Congressional Offices and Town Halls.

Executive Officers

President, Teri Adams

Vice President, Michael Johns

Secretary, Margie Murray

Treasurer, Rick Eckert

The Association publishes an email news blast called the T News Alert.
